Creator and performer of music for children
Judy Pancoast is a Waterville native (now living in New Hampshire) who has been creating and performing original music for children since 1996. A former classroom teacher with a Masters in Education, Pancoast has presented creative and clever Literacy Through Music assembly programs in schools across the country, as well as a musical conflict resolution program that uses her own experience as the victim of bullying to encourage children to utilize the Golden Rule.
Her travels through the USA inspired her newest program, “Weird Things are Everywhere,” a virtual road trip that takes students on a musical journey through the land in search of real-life connections to children’s literature, cool places to visit and just plain “weird” things. The program uses the power of humor and music to excite children’s interest in US geography and social studies, and has received rave reviews from educators, school administrators and students. Pancoast’s newest CD is a recorded version of the program sure to delight youngsters ages 8-11.
For the remainder of the academic year Pancoast is offering “Weird Things are Everywhere!” either as an in-school assembly OR evening PTA fundraiser at no charge to school or PTA in exchange for the opportunity to sell her new CD. The sales for the in-school assembly would take place in the form of a pre-order form that would go home with students well before the concert date so that CDs may be delivered the day of the assembly.
