Syntiro will be having their annual Winter Retreat at Point Lookout in Northport on January 28-29, 2011. Join us to learn about using arts integration and technology. Many of the presenters are your arts education colleagues. There is $3-4,000 available for each superintendents region in Maine for educators to attend. Syntiro will hold its 25th annual Winter Retreat on January 28 and 29, 2011, at Point Lookout in Northport, Maine. Maintaining the belief that honoring and supporting educators, through fabulous professional development opportunities is a priority, the retreat will provide an exciting and engaging learning opportunity.
The event is supported by funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and developed in collaboration with the Maine Alliance for Arts Education and the Maine Department of Education.
A stellar group of professionals committed to improving teaching and learning for all students using arts and technology will be in attendance. Resources will be introduced that can be used to improve teaching and learning in classrooms. Laptops are welcome, as technology use will be modeled in the sessions and continue to be immersed in the principles of Celebratory Learning.
