I am forever finding interesting thought-provoking articles to read and share with the meartsed readers. Below are a list that have accumulated during the last month or so to share with you.
- Early music lessons have long time benefits written by Perri Klass, MD for the New York Times Health and Science section, September 10, 2012. Provides the recent research on the brain studies and music.
- Bronx teachers become students in other countries, bring back new curriculum to classroom written by Corinne Lestch for the New York Daily News. Fourteen teachers studied abroad so they could bring back new learning to their classrooms. The program is called Fund for Teachers.
- Kennedy Center to elevate in arts education in Baltimore The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is assisting the Baltimore City Schools with creating a long-range arts education plan for students in kindergarten through eighth grades, Erica L. Green writes in this blog post. (9/17)
