Snow Day
January 14, 2017Idea
The purpose of this blog is to share stories about people and places; and to celebrate the amazing work (and play) that students, educators, and organizations are doing in and for arts education. In addition, the blog has a plethora of resources and innovative ideas. This forum gives blog readers the opportunity to learn from each other. It is essential that we listen, learn, and collaborate in order to build on teaching practices for the benefit of every learner in Maine and beyond.
I am a born and bred Mainer living/working in Florence, Italy. The idea of a snow day is on all of the US & Canadian teachers’ minds today as there is snow predicted for this week, a tiny accumulation which could actually result in the rarest of events… a snow day!
This is a perfect hymn of hope for what, to many of us, should be typical of winter, but which, alas, is usually just a dream here. Thank you for sharing this. I have shared it with my colleagues on Facebook… so that we can all dream on, to music…
Thanks for your comment Sharon and for passing the post on. It is great to hear that you are following from Italy. I hope you get that snow day! ~Argy
