PCA now Portland Ovations

Since 1931 PCA Great Performances, which stood for Portland Concert Association, has been responsible for bringing outstanding performance opportunities to Maine. Their new name is Portland Ovations.
You can go to their fabulous website by clicking here and see their offerings for the upcoming months. In August everyone on their mailing list will be entered into a drawing for a pair of season passes to all 26b performances in the 2009-10 season.
Some of the performances they’ve brought in the recent past are YoYo Ma, Sweet Honey In the Rock, and Hairspray. Many of their performances take place in beautiful Merrill Auditorium. In addition to three School-Time Performances this year, ther are also great Ovations Offstage (O2) offerings such as in-school workshops, master classes,and meet the artist events. Free pre-curtain lectures take place before most of our evening performances.
