A day filled with parades, strawberries and patriotic music
I hope your 4th of July was relaxing and fun and that you saw a little bit of sunshine and blue sky!

Twenty years of service to MAC
On Monday, at the Maine Arts Commission annual meeting, Arts in Education Associate Paul Faria was recognized for his 20 years of service to the MAC.
Paul joined the Maine Arts Commission in 1989 as Percent for Art Assistant before transitioning into the position of Public Art associate. Paul held that position until 2002. Shortly afterwards, Paul moved into the position that most arts educators know him in as Arts Education Associate.
Paul oversees the First Lady’s Maine Youth Excellence in Act initiative, the Poetry Out Loud National Recitation contest, the Congressional Arts Awards and various grants programs including SMARTS.
Please join me in wishing Paul a warm CONGRATULATIONS!

Paul Faria and Donna McNeil, MAC Director

Four hands/four feet
This work is Mozart’s Fugue for 2 Pianos in C Minor. Performed in the beautiful Virginia Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia for a concert series called “First Tuesday’s at Noon”. Talk about collaboration…. Enjoy!
