CONGRATULATIONS Paul Faria!
July 1, 2009Twenty years of service to MAC
On Monday, at the Maine Arts Commission annual meeting, Arts in Education Associate Paul Faria was recognized for his 20 years of service to the MAC.
Paul joined the Maine Arts Commission in 1989 as Percent for Art Assistant before transitioning into the position of Public Art associate. Paul held that position until 2002. Shortly afterwards, Paul moved into the position that most arts educators know him in as Arts Education Associate.
Paul oversees the First Lady’s Maine Youth Excellence in Act initiative, the Poetry Out Loud National Recitation contest, the Congressional Arts Awards and various grants programs including SMARTS.
Please join me in wishing Paul a warm CONGRATULATIONS!

Paul Faria and Donna McNeil, MAC Director

Congratulations Paul. I had the privilege to work with Paul when I was an intern at the Maine Arts Commission, and it was an honor to see what he has to do first hand, which is no small task. This is a well deserved award for the work you do with such passion. Thanks again for all you do and continue to do.
